SnowEx® Reveals New Renegade™ Hopper Spreaders

SnowEx Products, a leading manufacturer in the snow and ice control industry, revealed its newest line of Renegade™ stainless steel hopper spreaders to dealers in early March at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Renegade hopper spreader allows customers to choose between the HELIXX™ shaftless auger delivery system or the all-new chain material delivery system. The large 15 ½” pintle chain conveyor is capable of handling heavy materials like sand and salt/sand mix.
The Renegade line of hoppers is built with a riveted, stainless steel construction that resists corrosion and provides a sleek look with more serviceable parts for a longer life.
The line features units in the following capacities: 0.35 cu yd, 0.7 cu yd, 1.5 cu yd, 2.2 cu yd, 3.0 cu yd. 4.0 cu yd, and 5.0 cu yd.
- 0.35 cu yd units are optimized for UTV applications
- 0.7 cu yd units are versatile, allowing use on heavy-duty UTVs or pickup trucks
- 1.5 and 2.2 cu yd units are designed for pickup trucks
- 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 cu yd units are engineered for large trucks with flatbeds or dump bodies
“The new Renegade line of hopper spreaders is designed with the user in mind, featuring spill protectors, simple controls, and a whole line of accessories to customize the performance to fit each application,” said Pedar Steinquist, Ice Control Product Manager for SnowEx Products. “Customers can rely on the Renegade in the most treacherous winter storms to deliver excellent results.”
Built with safety and efficiency in mind, the Renegade features an all-new material spill-protector flap on the chain conveyor models, preventing spillage near the vehicle cab. The angle of the hopper end caps have been made steeper to better assist material flow to the delivery system. This allows more de-icing material to be used with each load. The material delivery extension chamber reduces material leaking during transport and works with the optional pre-wet accessory to coat rock salt with de-icing liquid for faster activation.
